Tamara answers the door, still feeling a bit wobbly from her morning nausea. Nicholas has gone ahead without her so that only one of them would miss the Council meeting. If the last few days were any indication, she’d be feeling better in an hour or so.
The kobold standing at the portal is already beginning to bow as the young woman opens the door. She blinks in surprise as she wonders what the little creature could want. She then realizes who it must be and her expression shifts to a frown.
“What do you want?”
Faisal keeps his snout lowered as he speaks. “Ten thousand pardons for disturbing you, Councilor, but I come to offer apology for my behavior and beg your forgiveness.”
Standing with her arms crossed, Tamara merely stares at the tiny draconic creature.
“I acted without thought to your safety or the justice of my actions. While I did not intend to cause you harm in any way, my behavior remains inexcusable because of the injury I caused. I wish to express my boundless regret and hope that you will someday be able to forgive.”
The young woman continues to stare down at Faisal, now mostly fighting to keep the nausea from creating an embarrassing scene. She gives a brief nod and takes a small step back, grabbing the door.
“Thank you, your grace”, she mutters, beginning to close the door, glancing around for a container.
“I had hoped to also speak to you about the abdication”, begins Faisal, finally looking up as the door closes in his snout. “To ask that you urge Nicholas to accept…”
The reedy voice dwindles away as Tamara races to the kitchen, looking for a bowl.
