Time seems to slow down as the creature extend its talons toward the group, prismatic colours erupting towards the group. Lulu sees Faisal unbalanced from his latest swing of Briar is able to be targeted by two beams of colours. Her mind momentarily distracted with concern for Faisal, quickly becomes overwhelmed by the magic of the violet ray striking her. Her body is quickly covered in a violet sheath of energy and the world around her disappears.
Moments later she finds herself on a hill were a graying hulk of a sycamore tree clings precariously to its last years of life.
“I’m home.” Lulu says incredulously.
The 100-foot-tall tree looks eerily like a well-known landmark from her homeland. Where only two years ago her brother Mikmek had been held captive by mites before being rescued by Nicholas and his now dead companions. On closer inspection this tree however looks more primal, more like something from the First World. As Lulu takes some time to look around it appears as if the hill, the tree and her are all encase in of clear globe.
Suddenly an immensely huge green face of dominates the skyline, the face of a Nymph.
“You cost me my glades, it is only fitting the life force of you and your friends help me recreate them.”
As she her face disappears from the skyline, strange looking mites begin pouring out of the sycamore tree. Lulu draws her daggers and readies herself to face the oncoming horde.
