Sigmar figured he had another hour before arriving at the city and dealing with dealing with his new commander. Hopefully, this commander wouldn’t need to have a fatal accident, like his last one. Nicholas looked like…
The sound of a tree splintering in half as a huge clawed paw swiped the offending tree from the path of the largest Owlbear Sigmar had ever seen. The creature was only 300 ft away and moving at a decent speed heading toward Firenze.
Sigmar put heels to his horse and rode toward Firenze at a dead run. He might be able to provide 20-30 minutes warning before the beast arrived.
Baron Talreth, Aleric, Mikmek, Kesten, and Sigmar managed to turn back the beast with only one block of houses being destroyed. However, it was the injuries amongst the partially train army and civilians was highest. It appeared that the beast gave off what some described as an aura of rage, causing soldiers and civilians alike who got too close to the beast to enter a rage. These enraged individuals attacked those nearest them.
You arrive back from the Trolls two days later.
